Four Men Suspected in String of Statewide Pharmacy Robberies

Four suspects are being held in connection to several pharmacy robberies that took place throughout Maryland, . The defendants were arrested for the recent attempted armed robbery of a CVS Pharmacy, which matched the characteristics of at least 17 other robberies in the area.
 
Law enforcement officials recognized the pattern of robberies, which have occurred since December. The series of armed robberies seen in the region all occurred between midnight and dawn and involved a black revolver and a suspect wearing a black ski mask fleeing in a getaway vehicle after the robbery. All incidents targeted 24-hour pharmacy businesses, such as CVS and Rite Aid, as well.
 
The most recent robbery, which took place in Wheaton, Maryland, involved 1 man who entered the pharmacy with a revolver and demanded cash from the register. The suspect allegedly struck the clerk with his gun, but then fled the store before obtaining the cash. The suspects, identified as Ian Marquis Anderson, Tyrek Montez Arrington, Elhadj Malick Diallo, and Dillon Rashad Lewis, are also suspected in a robbery that occurred 2 hours before the Wheaton incident.
 
The 4 men are being held without bond and have been charged with the attempted robbery that took place in Wheaton, Maryland.
 
The FBI’s Cross Border Task force is investigating the string of armed robberies.
